BiographyMichael is a mental health professional with a Nursing Sciences background. He has over twenty years of working in the humanitarian field focusing on refugee mental health.
Michael has a passion of capacity building paraprofessionals who majority are refugees and have undergone traumatic experiences. He offers hands on training that transforms refuges to becoming wounded healers and heals the other refugees through mental health interventions.
Michael has Life membership with World Federation for Mental Health after having joined the global mental health Organization in year 2000.
He has worked with International Non-Governmental Organizations in refugees’ camps in West Africa, Ethiopian and Kenya. Michael has also served with United Nations Population Fund in Liberia in the capacity of Psychosocial mental health specialist.
Michael is married with a beautiful wife, have three adults, a teenager and a grandchild.
