Proposed Symposium Title: Quick guide to translating existing interventions to the treatment of post-COVID complications

Learning Objectives: Describe: (1) The acute management of the psychiatric complications of COVID-19 (2) The application of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and graded exercise therapy to the management of fatigue after COVID-19. (3) The interventions for the treatment of PTSD after COVID-19.

Abstract: Over half of patients will meet diagnostic criteria for a common mental health condition following inpatient admission for COVID-19 with over a third having multiple conditions (Mazza et al., 2020). In this symposium we will be inviting experts in existing mental health interventions to provide a quick guide to the application of evidence-based interventions for common mental health conditions occurring after COVID19. Attendees will be able to describe the indications and interventions relevant to their practice with particular attention to acute mental health complications, chronic fatigue and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
